Last week, I had the privilege of attending the CMMC 2.0 Workshop hosted by Dayton’s own GoCyber Collective. Thank you to Dr. Thomas Autry, Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, for delivering an engaging and forward-thinking presentation. His clarity, technical precision, and grounded advice created the kind of space where even the most complex compliance issues felt manageable.
The workshop wasn’t a lecture, it was a conversation—rooted in shared experience, and practical takeaways that kept every seat engaged. As someone who leads a strategic communications firm staying in front of evolving cybersecurity regulations like CMMC is essential. This workshop helped me translate technical risk into strategic insight, ensuring Tipton Studio remains a trusted communications ally.
It was equally valuable to network with local leaders deeply committed to cybersecurity and information assurance. From left to right in the photo:
John Seibel, Executive Director, GoCyber Collective
Tom Weaver, Information Assurance/Cyber Manager, Cherry Bekaert Advisory, LLC
Dr. Thomas Autry, Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Northrop Grumman Corporation
Joe Hollon, Cyber Security Analyst, Goodwill Industries International
Randy Hinders, Director of IT, Mile Two
Brian Kesson, Manager/Senior Consultant, The Greentree Group
And myself, Zabrina Tipton, President & Strategic Communications Specialist, Tipton Studio, LLC
Cybersecurity is not a solo mission. It’s a collective, ongoing responsibility that requires curiosity, connection, and clarity—three things this workshop delivered in spades.
